In March and April Kenyan HRD Gacheke Gachihi from Bunge la Mwananchi and Mathare Social Justice Centre has been on a highly successful speaking tour through the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Ireland, following a three-month fellowship at the University of York. Throughout the speaking tour he met with civil society organisations, political foundations as well as UN bodies, such as the offices of the Special Rapporteur for Human Rights Defenders and the Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Executions. Gacheke, together with PBI Kenya, is currently doing follow-up meetings in Nairobi.
